The Kickdrums "Things Work Out"

I'm coming around to the Kickdrums. Their most recent EP, Just A Game, has gotten play for a while now. Three/21 Media debuted some visuals for one of the standout tracks from the album, "Things Work Out," today. "The concept was inspired by the butterly effect scene from 'The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button.' By definition, a butterfly effect involves random scenarios and 'what ifs' where one storyline diverges at the moment of a seemingly minor event resulting in two significantly different outcomes. Fortunately for our story, 'Things Work Out.'" Video directed by Rik Cordero.

Joell Ortiz - How To Change (feat. The Kickdrums)

Here is Joel Ortiz's video for "How To Change" featuring The Kickdrums off of the upcoming Inside A Change mixtape. The premise of the video, directed by my man Rik Cordero, is as follows: "a full band playing in the courtyard of Brooklyn’s Cooper Houses. Like I said before, the hood needs more horn sections."

The Kickdrums "Just a Game"

The Kickdrums are an up and coming alternative-hip hop group in the fashion of the Gorillaz. Here is a Rik Cordero directed video of Just a Game off of their new LP of the same name which will be dropping on June 2nd. After the video, watch a trailer for Rik's upcoming film, Inside A Change (in the same clip). The mixtape for said film will feature Consequence, Joell Ortiz, Saigon, Royce Da 5'9", Skillz, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Wale, Memphis Bleek, Sean C & LV, Statik Selektah, Illmind, The Kickdrums and many more. Look for the film to debut at the HBO New York International Latino Film Festival this July.
